Why is shahadah important to Muslims?

Shahadah could be called the most important Pillar of Islam because it is the belief of all the things associated with Islam. Believing in Allah and worshiping Him is the most important thing of the whole religion, but also believing in other aspects like the words of the Holy Qur'an, and following in Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) footsteps is also very important- as a Muslims, there are many duties you must fulfill, and you have to be a role-model to other younger Muslims too, so you can't do anything haraam.

Shahada is an Arabic word that means testimony and witness that:

"There is none worthy of worship except God (Allah) and Muhammad is the messenger of God."

This declaration of faith is called the shahadah, a simple formula that all the faithful Muslims pronounce. The significance of this declaration is the belief that the only purpose of life is to serve and obey God, and this is achieved through the teachings and practices of the Last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to do good deeds for the benefit of humanity, community, and nature.
