There's no automated direct measurement. However, water is pumped there from Lake Mead so you'll probably be within a few degrees of the Lake Mead temperature.

Bull sharks, Tiger sharks and even the deadly white shark inhabit lake mead. I have seen a 22 foot white shark right off the banks at lake mead. They eat the cows and pigs that fall into the water there. Be very careful while vacationing at lake mead. It could be your last.

There is salt in every lake, river and stream in the hydrosphere. But the water in a lake is still freshwater because the concentration of the salt in most freshwater is extremely low, so it isn't noticable. Most lakes rivers and streams exchange water with other sources, and they also receive surface runoff, and groundwater flow, so the water is constantly being diluted. So a lake must either receive groudwater flow or surface runoff to contain freshwater.

I suspect hundreds have sank either by human intention and storms and he such. No one seems to know exactly. The park rangers so not seem to have any records regarding the sinking of ships/boats on Lake Mead. I suspect there are even a few planes and cars down in that water. And we won't even count the number of bodies that have been thrown in or buried around that big old man made lake. We know of a bomber that is down in the muck of that lake. And everyone is hoping to be around when it surface. What a gem that would be, a time capsule from 1945. The way the water is going down, it shouldn't be long and it will appear.

Okay so for the people who say, "Las Vegas is in the middle of the desert, the closest beach is 300 or more miles away," you are wrong my friend. Not only does Lake Mead have a beach (i.e. Boulder Beach), but right past the Hoover Dam, JUST past the Arizona border, is Willow Beach, which is located on the Colorado River (so the water can be a little nippy), but is an absolute delight! I'm born and raised in Las Vegas and don't necessarily recommend Boulder Beach, each time I go, I start the trip with flip flops and by the time I leave, the slime and yucky mud in the water has eaten my sandles! Don't think that the whole lake is like that though, Lake Mead is delightful on a boat or jet ski's! Have fun and SMILE :)
