Why is there a color in white?

It depends on how you look at it.

With paint white is the absence of all color because there is no color being reflected off the paint.

With light white is the inclusion of all color. You can see this when you put light through a prism and it breaks up into all the colors of the rainbow plus some that humans cannot see.
