It could be condensation - if you've had it (for example) in the bathroom, or some other humid environment.

Wet is a broad way of saying that your getting liquid upon you but drench is a way to describe how much you got wet which is a lot.

If its not already too late, turn the phone off and then take it apart. Then, wipe off all the liquid and stuff. Let it dry for a few days (the time varies depending on how big the phone is and the amount of it that got wet) Reassemble it when it's dried, but if it doesn't work then... Get a new phone.
