Smaller fish like minnows and shad.
The best way to fish with live Minnows is to leave them as they are, alive. Living fish that move are much more likely to attract larger fish than a dead fish on a hook. Try hooking the minnow through the lip - that way they can move somewhat naturally, and if you're unable to catch fish with them - you're able to release them relatively unharmed afterward.
One time I had two goldfish and they had 38 "fishlings" (As my sister calls it...). I have a silverside that has eggs. A silverside isn't sold in pet stores. :( ==== Not all tropical fish mate in an aquarium. Why,I do not know. Sometropical fish that will mate in a tank are guppies and mollies which are live bearers. Tetras and barbs are egglaying fish.
I won't lie, Minnows don't have a very long life-cycle. Minnows are first eggs laid near water plants and rocks. After just a few weeks, the minnows hatch into teeny-tiny fry. (baby minnows). The baby minnows stick together into a tiny school. Keeping each other save and feeding together. After a few more weeks, the fry turn into Adult minnows and separate. However sadly, once they are adults they are eaten my bigger fish, and mammals.Olivia the animal lover
Sharks, Whales, Dolphins, clown fish, minnows, sea turtles, stingrays, and also many more!
The amount of fish depends on what type want or own. The most popular cold water fish is the gold fish. They are about 2 to 3 inches long. The sizing rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon. I would recommend 1 or 2 gold fish. It is unhealthy for the fish to live in an overpopulated tank. Note to never place 2 or more betas in the same tank or they kill or fight each other.
The population was so reduced in numbers that inbreeding occurred in the sexual minnows which reduced variation. This population became more disease infested
"Minnowis a general term used to refer to small freshwater and saltwater fish, especially those used as bait fish or for fishing bait. More specifically, it refers to small freshwater fish of the carp family."Please see the full description from the related links below.
Minnows constitute the family Cyprinidae of the order Cypriniformes. Most of the members of the minnow family are only a few centimeters in length, but India's mahseer measures up to 2.7 meters and some weigh more than 45 kg. Minnows are the largest family of fish, including more than 2,000 species. They are characterized by a single dorsal fin and by one to three rows of teeth in the throat but never in the jaw.
You could put in more goldfish. You could also try some White Cloud Mountain Minnows. If you want a Algae eater then you could get one or two Chinese Algae eaters.
Depends on the state but in Minnesota the only way to buy large amounts of minnows is to purchase them from a minnow trapper or breeder that has to have a DNR permit to do so.
Wading birds eat a fish laden with eggs. They fly to the next pond and when they crap in the water they release some viable eggs. Now you have fish! Works with frogs, too.Hope this helps!
