Perhaps a better question would be whether television is better than a book. The two are very different ways of delivering information to us.
An avid book reader will tell you that a good novel can take you to places in your imagination that television or movies can never achieve. Books can be read at any pace, they'll be waiting whenever you get back to them and if it's a text book, you can read sections over and over again, whenever you want to.
Television, on the other hand can give us lots more information with pictures and sound. A novel that might take days or weeks to read can be encapsulated into a two hour movie. We don't need to focus on television in quite the same way as we do when reading a book. It's far more passive than reading and that can be a good thing sometimes. Television delivers instant news and events, live coverage of sport, concerts, politics, wars and more, from anywhere in the world. A book is never as fast.
Each have their own benefits and opinion will be divided between "TV is better" and "books are better". Whichever is your preference, enjoy it but always embrace both.
vinay
well watching TV makes u lazy SO that is bad well personally i think reading books are better than watching TV and books are educational
Books are better to read then watching the movie first because if you are reading the book you can imagine the place it's at and or you can visualize what the characters look like. On television you have what the characters look like and what the place looks like.it is all there for you when watching a movie, but when you are reading a book it exercises your brain and puts it to work.SO READ DON'T WATCH TELEVISION!!!!
To be honest, I wonder why you would say this! I like books better then TV, well sometimes I have to admit. I get a bit lazy and watch TV instead. Maybe that's why some people like TV better then books. But I think books have more detail, so its better!
It all depends on what you watch on television or what you read.
Reading a book.
Because books don't tell you the weather that is coming your way. If you have a tornado watch going on in where you live, how would you know? Would reading a regular paper book tell you a tornado's coming for you?
1. reading makes you smarter 2. tv makes you fat 3.its bad for your eyes
Reading helps you to become a better speller (so you won't misspell "television" and "better" and "than"). It also challenges your mind, whereas all the facts are given to you when watching TV. You can also read books to expand your vocabulary and better your reading and comprehension skills for when you get a job that requires reading and fulfilling tasks that are written for you. I hope that helps.
well yes because tom Robinson is awesome
That's good and better than tv! SO DON'T WATCH TV!!!
Watching television may be preferable to some because it requires less effort and provides instant entertainment through visuals and sound. Additionally, television can offer a wider range of content and genres, catering to different preferences and moods.
