Why is water always blue in movies and it looks blue in real life but when you turn a tap on or something like that why is it clear?

water is really always clear just depending on the cup it looks different colors ( unless someone pulled a prank and turned the water blue with dye) but in movies its blue because they cant take a glass cup and put clear water because you wouldn't see it. So they make it blue cause its closest to clear and that's the color of the ocean
