There's only 2 answers to this question. 1. The windshield is leaking rain. 2. You have a busted heater core or line. The engine coolant is pumped through the firewall and through your heater core which is located behind the dash board on the passenger side. This issue must be corrected if you want any heat this winter and if you want to keep coolant levels good. You can temporarily stop the flow of water by crimping the coolant supply lines for you heater core with maybe a couple needle nose vice grip pliers. There will be 2 flexible rubber coolant tubes, about 1 or 1.5 inches in diameter, going through your firewall from the engine compartment. This will be on the passenger side. Clamp those tubes shut with your vice grips and that should hold you over until you can get the problem fixed. You may need to replace the tubes you clamp as well but this will be only a small percentage of the total repair cost. It could be from your A c also.. Condisation from the evaporator is leaking due to a pluged A-c water outlet
