The only mention of wheat in John's gospel in the KJV Bible is -
John 12.24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
And this 'corn (or grain) of wheat' refers to Christ's death and resurrection.
This grain of wheat also means the believer in Jesus, and how he must lose his life in order to find it, (Matthew 16.25)
