Windows is on most computers because of good marketing. The also have very little competition. Their only rivals are Apple (Mac) and Linux. Apple is comparatively expensive and has less customization options for the power user yet most agree it is better designed. Windows also runs on a far greater variety of computers while Apple is designed to work with very specific ones. Because Windows already has such a large following, most consumers just continue to buy Windows products. Those who care enough to dislike Windows, are usually power users who dont find enough freedom in Apple's products. They will often go to Linux but they will still buy windows as it is needed to play almost every game.
Linux offers the greatest customization options, is the least demanding, and its also free. People often don't use Linux because it can be hard to set up (even though most versions like, Ubuntu, install the same as any other program.) but Linux is far more present than most people know. Since it is free and can be adapted to suit the developers needs, most cell phones run a form of linux. Also, the servers that host the websites often run Linux.
The computers that are most popular are Windows computers. Windows based computers are used in most businesses and are widely accepted as the standard in schools as well.

Most Windows computers can run Microsoft Word as long as you have a compatible version. All modern Windows computers are able to run it. All Mac computers can run Microsoft Word as long as you have the Mac version of Office installed or you have the free Libre Office installed.
Microsoft Windows
No, computers would not have evolved to the point they have today if Microsoft had not provided Windows. Because Windows is the most popular Operating System, most computer hardware and software was built around it.
Windows is a computer operating system that is used by most computers. Windows is important due to its software and hardware compatibility.
On most Windows computers, the usbio.sys is found in the system32 folder. This folder is in the Windows directory on the primary drive.
Almost all computers, with maybe a few exceptions, have Windows 7 pre-installed on them. That is, only if it is a Windows computer, as Apple computers don't have Windows OS.
The operating system that most if not all viruses are made for is Windows. Since Windows was the first operating system built and most people own a Windows operating computer, then won't you think most viruses will target and infect Windows computers? Mac and Unix computers generally won't acquire viruses since not much of them are written for their platforms.
The C language is a universal language that is available for most computers. The language was created in the early 1970s long before either Mac or Windows computers were available.
Windows computers are the target of almost every computer virus on the planet because Windows is the most popular type of OS (Operating System). Think about it, if almost 94% of the population who have computers on Earth are using Windows, don't you think hackers and virus writers will take advantage of that and aim at every Windows computer? Apple computers and like you stated, Unix computers, are less vulnerable to virus attacks because the majority of computers are Windows (that's not to say you still can't get a virus if you have Apple or Unix).
Only computers running Windows NT or later can have a computer account in a Windows Server 2008 domain; Windows 9x computers cannot. Since Windows 98 came out after Windows NT, the answer is yes. -Brandon
