May just need a good tune-up- Wires, cap-rotor,spark plugs
That will probley fix your problem.
The 99 Chevy S10 does not have a fuel pump reset button. The pump is controlled by the relay unit.

If you have the 2.2 L engine in that 99 S10, there is no distributor in that vehicle. It has a DIS (Distributorless Ignition System).
