Why is your Pokemon Ruby Game deleting when you try to Migrate to Pokemon Platinum?

there's a good chance that your battery might be dry. Once that happens you can still play your game but you won't be able to save or migrate Pokemon to the DS games. the only way to fix it is to replace your battery but once it's replaced all of your data on the cartridge will be deleted.

You need to have a GBA or GB game that is Pokemon and of Kanto or Hoenn, and put it in your DS. Then put platinum in too. Go the the main menu of Platinum and it will say something like "Migrate Pokemon from Pokemon ______" (whatever Pokemon version you have - Emerald, Red, etc.) And click on the link. And you have to migrate six Pokemon from that version to Platinum and have to use those Pokemon to be in a Catching Show. Hope this helped! :)

if you want to migrate Pokemon you need to have a gba Pokemon game and a Nintendo ds or a ds lite. stick the game into the game slot and then turn on the game. go to your diamond, pearl, or platinum game and select migrate from Pokemon so-and-so, the 5 games you can use are sapphire, ruby, emerald, leafgreen, and firered.

So to migrate Pokemon on platinum you need a DS because you can't do it with a DSi. You put both games(ex/ platinum ds game and firered gba game) inside their game slots, then you go to the main menu of the platinum menu and there should be an option that says "migrate Pokemon from firered" click that botton. chose your six Pokemon you want to migrate and then play the platinum game. To get the firered Pokemon into your PC you have to go to the PalPark and enter the contest.After you catch the six Pokemon you will get asked if you want to put the Pokemon you've caught in your PC say yes and there you go.
