Squeaking or tearing of the rubber on the belt
Belt dressing is the worse thing you could do. Remove the belt and clean all of the pulleys and install a new belt.
Well it could be that your belt ether needs adjusted or a new belt check the belt make sure its not worn. if u all ready have a new belt and u still have a sqweeking noise looks like it would be the bearing for the alternator is going out or you need to change out the alternator.
the belt on the engine is loose, so you want to see if you can tighten it or get a new belt . i hope this helps
What exactly do you want to know about it?? If its squeaking get a new one. You local auto parts store will have one.
Check belt tension. Make sure all nuts and bolts are tight and that you did not pull the alternator tighter while mounting it.
Power steering belt.
The most common cause for a squeaking noise when turning the steering wheel on any vehicle, including a 2001 Toyota Avalon, is the belt that runs the power steering pump. If the belt is fairly new, a small drop of any dish soap on the belt while the car is running will clear up the noise. If the belt is worn, it needs to be replaced.
they are horny
The belt is probably glazed. Clean all the pulleys and replace the belt. Do not use a belt conditioner on a serpentine style belt.
your engine should still work but you will need to buy a new belt
Vibration and/or a rotating squeaking sound.
