Diesel smoke is often caused by fouled injectors, in which case the smoking can be cured by pouring a dose of good injector cleaner into the fuel tank on the next fill-up, and change the fuel filter, too. And change the engine oil and filter!
Yes TDCi is a diesel engine
My diesel engine is not smoking. If your's is smoking there can be a variety of reasons, you would need to be more specific in your question
1800 tdi 75kw
Depends on the engine. A variety of different petrol engines and a diesel option were fitted to the Fiesta Mk6. All have different filters.
petrol-underneath on the front of the engine diesel- ontop, on the right hand side between the engine and airbox
5 liters with oil filter filled
My Mk3 fiesta did not.
To start a 2006 Fiesta diesel car that has run out of diesel, first, you need to refill the fuel tank with diesel fuel. After refueling, turn the ignition key to the "on" position without starting the engine to allow the fuel pump to prime the system for about 30 seconds. This will help ensure that fuel reaches the engine. Finally, try starting the engine; it may take a few attempts to get it running as air may need to be purged from the fuel lines.
Depends on the year or type of diesel engine. The older engines had a cannister filter whilst the latest Tdci has a replaceable paper element.
Does my 1995 ford fiesta 1.8 diesel have a timing belt or chain
On the Diesel Fiesta you need the 5W-30 Ford Motorcraft oil, or any other good brand of fully synthetic motor oil with the 5W-30 specs. You need the correct filter for your model of diesel engine Fiesta. The old 1.8 straight diesel used a metal cannister filter, whilst the later Tdci Duratorq engines have a paper element filter in a plastic housing (looks like a bomb or a fat plastic bottle with a hexagon cap) on the side of the engine block.
In a Ford Fiesta, the diesel in engine oil warning sign typically appears as an illuminated warning light on the dashboard. It may be represented by an oil can icon with a droplet, sometimes accompanied by a text message indicating a problem. If this warning light activates, it indicates potential contamination of the engine oil with diesel fuel, which can lead to serious engine damage. It's essential to address this issue promptly by consulting a mechanic.
