Well, not ALL dogs are dumb, some are very smart, like my dog. We taught my dog to hunt snakes without being scared of them, it took us 30 minutes to teach him not to be scared of them, and another 30 to start hunting them, (he doesn't kill the snakes, he just brings them to us, then we let them go.) He also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, and we also taught him to jump over the hole in our back yard, (the hole is about three feet wide and four feet deep.) But it is true that most dogs are not as smart as others. My dog is a totally normal dog, but we just had to teach him to be smart. So that might be why most dogs are dumb, they just haven't been taught to be smart.
