To prevent this add a couple pieces of pineapple to the dog food. The reason why this is happening is because the pup isn't getting enough nutrients. He is probably eating to fast and so his system can not process the needed chemicals into his body, so he goes after his poo for extra. Hand feed a bite of food at a time and give him those pieces of pineapple. It will stop him from eating his poo because it till make it taste bad to him.
Yes, give your puppy a teaspoon of cooked chicken and some cheese every day in addition to it's regular food, if it's weaned from it's mother.

∙ 13y agoMy dog did that when she was about in the 4-5 month range... but she stopped after that. I think that they are trying to move other dogs markings... mabye :9) ...... If you look at :9) and tilt your head to the left, it looks kind of like a pig.

Dog often only do that to other animals poo but its not abnormal to do it with other dogs poo. Every dog has a different scent to there body so when a dog does that it is trying to disguise its self to be that dog I'm not sure why a dog would do that to a dogs poo.
