It may be excited. Most small animals breath rapidly when they are being held or if you are reaching out for them. It's not bad or contagious but if your hamster is breathing unevenly, bring it to the vet immediately!
If your hamster is not breathing, I suspect that he has passed away.
The smaller the animal, the faster its heart beats. But as for the legs, I don't know.

sadly the same thing happend to my hamster it is a deseas it wont probably make it!
If it is like that, cold and not breathing, yes, it is dead.
Lungs it's a mammal like us
A hamster is faster as they can stretch more and are smaller. Guinea pigs are fast but as they are bigger they don't move as fast.
