well mine did but he could never really eat the center core part because it was too hard. if you don't mind cleaning up dried wrinkly carrot cores from their cage, its perfectly fine. unless your guinea pig is allegic to carrots, but i really doubt that. Citrus fruits are better for them, and they love oranges. also they wont get scurvy.
Feeding a guinea pig with no teeth isn't that difficult. Just mash it's faveourite fruit or veggie and then spoon feed it. Also, I have found they eat grated carrot/apple well. This will need to be offered them every 1-2 hours so they do not get hungry.

You can try to give it something to eat when you hold it. Some people have tried washing their hands so there is no smell of food on the hands when holding the animal. You can tap the piggy on the nose when it does bite to help train it not to bite. You can also rub hot pepper lightly on your hand when you hold the animal to help with the biting but be VERY careful not to get any in the pigs eyes.
