I'm not much of a mechanic but, it may be too loose.
I think we figured it out. Believe it is the throw out bearings.
It's going to be your radiator fan clutch. Mine was squealing for a while until finally it turned into clanging. It was pretty bad. I'm in the process now of replacing mine. That should be your next step.
Depends on the kind of pads/rotors you got. It's normal for some compounds to squeak .
Nothing, it is still being made in some countries
He hasn't been replaced, it is still being played by Taylor Lautner. It is just that in New Moon, they said they wanted to replace him because lack of muscle, but it is still being played by him now.
It may be the serpentine belt. Sometimes when you purchase an "on the cheap side" serpentine belt, it has a tendency of making noise even when the tension pulley has been change. Try purchasing a more expensive belt. The diamond back serpentine belt may be the best solution for this problem.
This may, or may not be applicable, depending on if you had tried replacing the serpentine belt also. One cause for this would be the belt-tensioner has weakened and is not applying sufficient tension on the serpentine belt, allowing it lose traction on the pullies.
The caliper bolts may need lubricant as the caliper slides across the metal bolts it may squeak. Or overnight brake rotors can rust so when it first moves in the morning it may squeak.
Most likely the serpentine belt, when you rev the engine does it get louder, once the car runs for a minute does it go away or it may still do it.....If this applies most definitely I would have the serp belt checked or changed...
I replaced ac clutch and power steering pump and serpentine belt due to squeal upon starting engine. Also when turning wheel to full range. Took belt off and cleaned pulleys with a small wire brush and brake cleaner, been 10,000 miles and quite as the day I first bought it.
I have the same problem on my 1998. I just replaced the serpentine belt and it still happens. When I turn on the A/C it gets worse. Any ideas what's causing it?
No the Intrepid is not being made it was discontinued in after the 2004 model year and was replaced by the dodge magnum/charger
