Our Sun is a population I star, that does not mean it is first generation - that title is held by population III stars. Our Sun is a 3rd (maybe 4th) generation star. See related question.
It is more than likely that our Sun is a 3rd generation star - Population I star [See related question] Like all elements with an atomic number larger than iron, gold was formed from a supernova nucleosynthesis process. [See related question] This explosions scattered metal containing dusts (including heavy elements like gold) into the region of space in which they later condensed into our solar system and the Earth. So for gold to be present in the solar system, our Sun has to be at least a 2nd generation star - probably 3rd generation.

Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994) Correction!: Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973-1975)
The composition of the Sun, with heavy elements like carbon and oxygen, indicates that it formed from the remnants of previous generations of stars that had already undergone fusion. This is in contrast to first generation stars, which would have had only hydrogen and helium. Additionally, studies of other second-generation stars in the Milky Way provide further evidence for the Sun being part of this later stellar generation.
no
a second generation star is a star that has died a from that become a new star
I take it you mean "is our Sun still the original one". NO.We know, (or clever folk do), that a Star of the size of our sun can only manufacture elements up to the mass of iron. And our Sun cannot manufacture Carbon!Nucleosysthesis is the study of the energy/temperatures and time required for creating the elements from existing material. We know that the creation of Carbon for example can only take place in the explosion of a supernova.Even the Big Bang did not last long enough at the needed temperatures for three Helium atoms to simultaneously collide to form a Carbon atom.So our Sun is at least a 2nd generation star, and maybe a 3rd generation one!.So you have much star material in your being.
Generation Star Wars was created in 1994.
No, The sun is seen as a sun and not a star. Our sun is a star.
2nd generation
The Sun is a star.
