Well, penises for male humans do not have to be large to get the job done. In fact, Neanderthals and Cavemen were likely to have quite small penises. Over the years, women have developed a liking for men with larger penises, probably because it makes the men seem more masculine, which can provide better security. Due to society's expectations, along with sheer pleasure, women have generally had more sex with men with larger penises, whose "large member" traits were passed on to the male baby. This has created a sort of natural selection that continually increases the size of the male population's penis every generation. While this is not always the case, it is a widely accepted hypothesis.
