Why isn't Steam working?

I am not totally sure, but one thing is to click on the Steam button in the upper left corner of the Steam client and restart using Exit followed by the starting of Steam a few seconds later, Change User and log back in, or Go Offline then return to Online mode. Try those three, if they don't work, then I would check online or go to the Steam support page.

I have recently set up my new Cyber Power Computer. I installed Steam the day i set it up. Within Two days it stopped working. When i click to run steam, it appears on the bottom of the taskbar minimized. I click, and nothing happens. At first I could still bring up the friends mini tab, but now i cannot. I do not know if this is related to the problem, but taskbar sometimes appears out of the screen. I have updated my driver and reinstalled steam, but this seems to have no affect.

(I am using a Nvidia GeForce video card)
