It is reliable to a point. You have to bear in mind that, due to there being no minimum age limit for contributors, some answers may not be as accurate as they should be. As with any reference source - you should always cross-reference any answer with another reliable source for confirmation of the facts.

There are hundreds and hundreds of trusted users on WikiAnswers who give up their free time in order to help answer questions in a field that they are comfortable in. WikiAnswers is a very reliable source and a wonderful place to search for answers.
They are not always reliable, but they are mostly. This is because they are written by ordinary people like you and me who don't always know everything, and get stuff wrong.

Verify the profile of the wiki members who have answered a question. 2.If the member/members who last answered or edited the answer has qualifications/experience on the subject then in all probability it is a reliable answer. 3.If the member has cited reliable sources then in all probability it is a reliable answer.
some answers are reliable like this one, but many people post wrong or rude answers about some questions. It really depends on what you are asking and how well known the question is.
Wiki asnwers is far more reliable and more often correct than any mother in the enitre universe. 99 percent of answers on this site are correct.
