∙ 13y agoMountain lions are large cats, seven feet. But compare a tiger to a cougar in size. A tigers and lions are so much larger (so are leopards, so a cougar is huge but small compared to these great cats.

∙ 7y agoThe cheetah and the cougar are not considered big cats as they do not belong to the Panthera genus. Also, unlike the panthers, cheetahs and pumas cannot roar. Panther is a generic term and does not apply to a single species. It may refer to a lion - panthera leo
