Why isn't a screw coming out?

First of all you have find what the connecting parts are made of, is it a screwed into metal, plastic, wood? etc

There are a few ways to do it without specialised tools;

1. Try, and try again. This method usually finds you with the cut in the top getting damaged and you being unable to get it out with conventional means.

2. Shock and Unlock TM. This is an aerosol can filled with pressurised gas, and comes out as a liquid, freezing the screw and making it contract. This can be found in many hardware stores.

3. Pliars, or vice grips. Secure these firmly onto the head of the screw, and rotate as you would with a screwdriver.

4. Hammer, if the screw is disposable, and you intend for it to be replaced you can use this method, this usually only works with wood, and normally involves the wood getting damaged and needing to be filled. Simply apply firm and accurate hits directly to the top of the screw head until it breaks free from the churned wood or plasic, remove with pliars.

5. Drilling the screw out. You can use a drill with a similar sized bit to remove the screw entirely. Simply secure the drill on the screw head and apply pressure perpendicular to the screw body.

The really easy way involves a specialised tool

6.Impact bolt remover, Impact wrench or impact drill. This tool is designed to tighten bolts very quickly and beyond human strength. Thank god it goes in reverse! Just attach the chuck or bit tightly onto the head of the screw and use as you would a standard drill.
