Most of Russia's Central and Eastern areas are scarcely populated, due to much of the terrain being frozen and somewhat inhabitable. Much of the land is used as nature preserves, and what not, but you'll find most of Russia's population in its European section (Western), where Moscow is located. Russia's population, irregardless, is 141,930,000, which is still large! (Ranked 9th)
