He's probably tired - You hve to undrstand, birds wake up at sunrise and go to sleep at sun down. After a while, though, your bird will become accostomed to your habits. For example, my bird is awake and very active until about midnight because I pull a lot of late nights. However, in the morning even after sunrise, he is sleepy and tired and does not do anything but sit there. It'll be alright, you'll see.

∙ 11y agoIf your Budgie isn't talking to you, it may just not want to talk. Though they are very sociable birds, they do have a mind of their own. If you are trying to train it, you might want to try another way, like repeating the word and they when it talks, give it a treat.

Sounds like your budgie is playing. My budgie head bobs when he is hyper and playing in his cage, when he is practicing "talking" and is cleaning himself at the same time or when there is music on that he likes as if he is dancing to it.
How can you teach your budgie to talk?
budgies are catterers. so if you are repeatedly saying a word for them to mimic,you're doing the right thing. but if you don't hear them saying any words, it's probably beacause you're talking too fast. you see, if you talk at your regular pace, the budgie will mimic it so fast that you don't even notice it. try talking slower. so when the budgie repeats it, it will be slow enough so that you can hear it. but don't think this will happen in one day. it takes a few weeks or so for the budgie to mimic you. if you have a budgie, it's a lot easier to train a male to talk. their vioces are a lot more smoother and understandable than femals.
