Why isn't there a movie of Quidditch Through the Ages?

They are making a movie from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It should be in the theaters in fall of 2016. If it does well, we might expect to see movies based off of other books, such as Quidditch Through the Ages.

Quidditch Through the Ages is a school textbook, not a story. There is no plot or characters, so it wouldn't make a very good movie.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is also a school textbook, but the movie isn't an adaptation of the book, rather a story based on the author of the book.

In the future, it's possible there will be a movie about Quidditch - it certainly hasn't been ruled out.
