When feeding a baby turtle, it's best to place the food in the water. This allows the turtle to easily access the food while swimming and encourages natural foraging behavior. However, if the turtle is a species that prefers to eat on land, you can place the food on a dry surface, ensuring it's still accessible for the turtle to eat. Always monitor the feeding to ensure the turtle is eating properly.
