Water is not on the Periodic Table of elements because elements cannot be broken down into different substences and water can; it is two part Hydrogen one part Oxegen, thus you get H2O or water.
Water is not an element.
Water is the combination of the elements Hydrogen and Oxygen, hence the term "H2O".
H2O is the chemical symbol for water, which simply mean 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom.
Water is not in the periodic table since it is not a periodic element. Water is a compound which is made up of hydrogen and oxygen.
Because it is not an element - it is a compound of oxygen and hydrogen (H2O)- both of which are on the periodic table - so, in effect, water is (just in its constituant parts).
because water is not an element it is compounded from hyydrogen H2 and oxygen O which are elements
The periodic table is the periodic table of elements, and water is a compound.
Water is a compound and not an element and thus is not listed on the periodic table
because water is a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen ;) x
Because water is not a chemical element but a compound.
The periodic table contain only chemical elements, not compounds; water (H2O) is a compound.
The elements are :- Carbon , oxygen and hydrogen/. They all appear in the Periodic Table. 'Water' is a compound of hydrogen and oxygen. (H2O).
H on periodic table is for Hydrogen. It is the first and lightest element on periodic table. It combines with oxygen to form water.
"S" on the Periodic Table is the symbol for SulphurS stands for Sulfur in the Periodic Table. It is a pale yellow, odorless, brittle solid, which cannot be dissolved in water, but can be dissolved in disulphide. Sulphur is essential to all life.
Table salt is sodium chloride and it is represented as NaCl
I is the symbol for Iodine. It belongs to halogen family.
Water isn't an element. It is made up of Hydrogen and Oxygen, both of which are elements and appear on the periodic table.
The Periodic Table is a table of elements but water is a compound.
Water isn't on the periodic table as it is a compound and only elements are on the periodic table
The elements are :- Carbon , oxygen and hydrogen/. They all appear in the Periodic Table. 'Water' is a compound of hydrogen and oxygen. (H2O).

periodic table
Oh jeez. Alright, water is a compound, not an element. The things that water is made of are on the periodic table, and that is hydrogen and oxygen. But since it is more than one element it is a compound. That is like asking why isn't dog on the periodic table.
Water is not on the Periodic Table because the Periodic Table is a list of the elements on our earth. Water is made up of 2 Hydrogen atoms and one Oxygen atom. So that means it is not a single element, but makes Water a molecule. Hope that's helped.

Alkali Earth metals are the most reactive metals on the periodic table.
