Why it's bad to choose a bad president?

A bad leader can make living in his country very unpleasant and can do damage to his citizens that take years to fix, if they can be fixed at all. Fortunately, the US learned by experience from King George of England why a bad leader is terrible to have and after a long and bloody fight the leaders set up a new nation with a new kind of government which makes iit is impossible to choose a really bad president because the candidates are screened so carefully by the election process that both of the candidates will be pretty good as presidents. Further, due to the system of checks and balances in the US Constitution, the President is very limited in whatever foolishness or evil he might want to do. At worst he will be out of office in four years if he is not impeached and thrown out before then.
