Kundiman has almost been forgotten by the Filipino young generations because these are songs which were sung years ago and these have not been heard this time. Also, it is a genre of traditional Filipino love songs which has a smooth and gentle rhythm. This kind of rhythm isn't the taste of the young Filipinos. They like fast music. Kundiman is also written in deep Filipino words which the young Filipinos could not easily understand thus they couldn't relate to the kundiman songs.
