Why leave Antarctica alone?

Yes. Not only because of the fact that it is not only the last nature preserve, but also because in the mid 1900's, an agreement was made for nations not to go there. Also, because of us, the ice is melting and animals are being put in danger. Wouldn't you like for it to be restored?

Antarctica is protected by the Antarctic Treaty, which agreement nullified national claims on Antarctic lands. The treaty dedicates the continent to peace and science. Essentially, we are already 'leaving Antarctica alone'.

Antarctica is truly the last place on Earth to not have been "humanized." It also keeps the sea levels down because of its ice caps, so if these ice caps were to melt, then sea levels would rise and drown our shores, islands, etc. This is why global warming is such a huge problem and is getting so much attention.

The Antarctic is practically uninhabitable. Constant blizzards, very strong winds, freezing temperatures of up to -89 degrees Celsius, 24 hours of sunlight per day for some days in summer and 24 hours of darkness per day for some days in winter all contribute to this. In short, the Antarctic should remain uninhabited by humans to ensure the wellbeing of them.

Because it is one of the few places not harmed by humans and also because if it is harmed in any way, it could create a lot of dilemma and destruction. Furthermore, Antarctica is home to penguins, blue whales, colossal squids and other varieties of animals. Some of these animals are endangered and if we harm Antarctica it may eventually result in the extinction of some of them.
