The magnetic field outside a solenoid is not zero. This is only true for an infinitely (thus unreal) long solenoid.

Infinitely long solenoids cannot be found in nature, but are often used as a good approximation of reality because they are much simpler to work with mathematically. The magnetic field outside a real solenoid is less dense than outside the solenoid and often one is only concerned with the field inside, which is approximately constant (deviations occur near the edges), so using an infinitely long solenoid is a good model.

Why B outstide a solenoid is non-zero?

B is non-zero outside a solenoid because magnetic field lines make closed loops so when they pass through the solenoid they also emerge from it thats why.

What is the neutral point of the magnetic field?

In a combined magnetic field, a neutral point is a place where the magnetic field is zero

What is a property of a magnetic field?

One property of a magnetic field is that its divergence is zero. That means that a magnetic field line is always a loop and that the net magnetic field coming out of or going in to an enclosed surface is always zero. The result of this is that there are no magnetic monopoles, at least none discovered. Theories, however, do abound.

What is the neutral point of the magnet?

What will be the Larmor precession frequency of an electron in an atom placed in zero magnetic field?

There is no Larmor precession without magnetic field

Which happens to the magnetic field of a wire when you change the direction of the current in the wire The magnetic field?

The magnetic field collapses to zero, then builds up again for the current in the opposite direction.

What is the phase difference between electric and magnetic field?

Zero.

What if a magnetic needle is kept in a non uniform magnetic field?

A magnetic needle kept in uniform magnetic field will experience zero net force but non-zero net torque........Since the magnetic lines are uniform, the force acting on each end of the needlewill be equal and opposite. So it will cancel each other resulting zero net force.

Why force exerted by a magnetic field on stationary elctric dipole is zero?

The force on a charge by a magnetic field is given by F = Bq v sin@ v - the speed of the charged particle with charge q. B - magnetic field induction in tesla. @ is the angle between the velocity vector and magnetic field vector. As dipole is stationary, the speed of charges is zero. So the force = 0 Hence the result.

Angle of dip zero at equator?

the magnetic field of earth is parallel to the earth surface

What does magnetic flux mean in physics?

The magnetic flux is the measure of the strength of a magnetic field. The total magnetic flux through a closed surface is zero, according to Gauss's law for magnetism.

How is a charged particle accelerated when the electric field inside the dees of a cyclotron is zero?

it is the magnetic field not the electric field which accelerates the ion inside the dees
