The state rock of Pennsylvania is the trilobite. Actually, the trilobite is the state FOSSIL of Pennsylvania. PA does not have a state rock or a state mineral yet, though suggestions have been made.
The fossil suggests that the hill likely contains the remains of the early species that lived in the area and was changed to a rock.
trilobite fossils are worth commonly around $60- $80. but depending on the size could be worth more or less.
