If you have more than one program that deals with a certain file type, you may wish to associate that file with more than one program for easy selection of which program to open it with.

P2P or Peer-to-Peer transfers mean One Computer uploads a file (the software) directly to the second computer. Resulting in both computers having the same file. The original File and the new file on the second computer are stored on the hard-drives of each computer in what ever directory the users wish.
If your file opens in another program you can right click your file and choose open with. Choose WordPad and make it default if you wish. If the file wont open in WordPad at all it's most likely a file-type not supported by WordPad. You might need additional software or convert the file to a supported type.

Use software or hardware level file encryption, and follow it up with file system permissions to restrict operating system access to a select group of users.
