If the noise gets louder with speed, it is possible that the bearing in one or more of your wheel hub assemblies have failed. The noise will also become more pronounced during steady state corning.

Humming while tuning right.?

I have a similar issue with my Stratus, except instead of humming, mine rumbles slightly. This answer is only speculation, but I believe that it happens because the power steering is stretched to the max while turned completely to the right. You'll hear a humming noise because the hydraulics are trying to pump even more fluid in order to turn further, but there isn't enough fluid in the system. Alternatively, your passenger-side front bearing could be worn out, but it would be much more noticeable than just a humming noise.

Why is there a rear humming noise coming from your 1999 Honda Prelude Why does the noise get worse when you accelerate?

The rear hubs more than likely need grease. If this isn't the case then the axles may need greased or check the tires for broken belts.

Help1988 Dodge ram van b250 318 motor Had faint hum coming from rear of vehicle when vehicle off and key removed Disconnected battery so it wouldn't run down Now 5 days later cranks no start no hum?

The humming noise was probally your in tank electric fuel pump. If you heard it humming, ussually sounds more like a buzz to me, could be a clogged fuel filter or a failing pump. Disconnect the fuel line to the carburetor, do not crank eng but turn on key, you should have fuel coming out the end of the line. If you do not trouble shoot for faulty fuel pump, 1st stop check fuse in glovebox.

Why do your tires make a humming noise and cause vibration?

The humming noise is dependant on the road surface/ tire tread and tire wear. If the tires are scalloped or feathered they will hum. Vibration may be a problem in your suspension or the balancing of one or more of your tires. You can run your hand over the tread (front to back and back to front) if it is wavy or the tread feels jagged/ sharper in 1 direction, you need suspension work and/or an alignment.

What could cause a vibration or humming noise going 45 or more on a 2002 2.4L Chevy cavalier?

i would first balence the tires then try replacing the wheel bearings if the noise is coming from a specific area on the car In example left front, right front etc.

What is humming in combustion chamber?

Due to turbulence of incoming air and/or fuel mass flow perturbations the heat release process will be periodic (Unsteady) so the pressure inside the combustor will fluctuate due to unsteady heat release rate causing broadband noise this noise will match with one or more of the acoustic modes (frequencies) of the combustor, then the humming will occur and if the humming reflected from the combustor boundaries to the flame again it will increase the root source of the problem (flow perturbations) and amplification of the oscillation will take place causing structural vibrations to the combustor walls (acceleration).

How do you know when a wheel bearing is going out on a 91 geo prizm?

it makes a humming noise, when you turn the wheel in one direction it will go away and turn it the other way and it will become more pronounced A bearing will ether make noise when you are driving strait and will stop when turning, or visa versa.

What causes a Mazda tribute humming noise on passenger side?

It might be the alternator noise. If you step on the gas is it getting louder and more high pitch? If it is, then yes you have weak ground, or so called ground loop. I am having a same problem even after I installed amplifier. I guess this car is not really good.

The electric bulb in your household circuits are connected in parallel what happens to the line current and line voltage as you turn on more light bulbs?

The line current increases when more bulbs are switched on in parallel, since more parallel current paths results in lower effective resistance. The line voltage should not change in response to any normal use of electric power in a single house.
