Well, think of it like comparing a healthy and fit person to an overweight person. The fit person can run faster because they have less grease and weight on them. The overweight person can't run as fast because there is weight holding back the maximum kinetic energy and sludge prevents jounts and rotators from working correctly.

Why speed of the induction motor falls when load is increased?

As the load increases, the speed reduces to deliver the increased torque required.

What is the speed of DC series motor at no load?

No load speed is the speed that the motor run when it has no load, i.e., the motor is separated from the engine, that speed is than greater than the rated speed, because the rated speed is the speed whwn the motor are linked to the load and it is the full load.

Why use clutch plate in single phase motor?

induction motors have very little starting torque as the motor come up to speed it reduces the torque load until it gets near synchronous speed

What is the aproximate loaded speed of a 3600 rpmcompressor?

The approximate loaded speed of a 3600 RPM compressor is between 2500 and 3000 RPM. Because the load puts additional strain on the motor, it reduces its rotational speed.

What does no load speed on a electric motor mean?

Generally a motor drives some equipment, it could be a fan, or a pump, connected to motor's shaft. The speed of the motor when no equipment is connected to its shaft is known as no load speed.

How speed of the repulsion motor can be reversed?

it has very high speed but no load

What is the reasons for the slight decrease in the speed of the motor from no-load to full load?

Without going into the math, the change in speed increases the torque the motor can supply. The further the motor speed and supply speed are apart (known as the slip), the greater the torque will be.

Does the speed of induct motor increase or increase when the motor load increase?

Decreases.

How do you reduce the speed of a 15 kW 3 phase motor without using variable speed control?

If the load is connected to the motor via belts, you can change the speed the load is turning by changing the pulley sizes. To get the load to slow down, increase the size of the pulley on the load; to get it to speed up, increase the size of the pulley on the motor. To reduce the speed of the motor itself, you'll have to alter the line frequency, which you can't do without a variable frequency drive attached to the motor.

What happens if load is greater than output power?

For AC system speed of generator will be decreased and then frequency decrease, if there is no trip the motor load will be automaticaly reduced as Load Power = torque x speed and speed of motor vary acc to frequency. Finally the motor will be run at new lower speed that load = power generation. The other effect is voltage in the system will be decreased and result of lower load consumption

Application of feedback control system in electrical?

One application of feed back control is where the speed of a motor has to be maintained at a certain RPM and the load it drives is variable. Feedback from the load tells the VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) motor controller what to do. As the load drags the motor speed down the feedback unit sends a electrical impulse to the VFD to increases the speed of the motor. As the load drops off the feedback unit sends a electrical impulse to the VFD to decreases the speed of the motor. These interactions keep the motor RPM at a constant speed. This is a very simplified version of what happens.

What happens to the rotor speed and rotor current when the mechanical load on an induction motor increase?

whenever the load increases, the current drawn by the motor to do or to fulfill the required energy to the load. so the current will increase generally.Increase in load will cause the full utilization of motor,so speed of rotor will decrease.
