Oil pump has failed or the oil pressure sending unit is bad.
if you read the owners manual there is a code you can put in yourself. It will tell you how to do it.
Put enough in to reach the full mark on the dipstick. If the oil light is on you either have a leak or the engine is burning oil.

Theres a button in the side fuse panel in the car hold it and it will reset it. It will say oil/tire Light I do belive
Engine light has it's own separate gauge, for oil pressure. The oil light will come in emergencies not the check engine light. If you put in correct amount of oil, run engine and check oil level. If it's OK, than light will go out by itself.
Put some oil in the engine. This warning light means your oil level is low.
yes
The oil light is turning on BECAUSE you put in the lighter weight oil. older engines need the thicker oil.
