I think it comes from people's sinful nature from the start. They think only of themselves and fail to put others before themselves. It sucks a lot. It just leads to those people hurting others.

Well I assume that terrorists are just like any other group of people in that they want to keep their group alive. If they attacked themselves eventually there wouldn't be any terrorists left. I don't think they want that to happen.
