∙ 11y agoWashington had already become a national hero as the winning commander of the Colonial military forces, as well as a proven leader in the Continental Congresses and the Constitutional Convention. As military commander he had to do considerably more than just conduct the war. He had to work constantly to get adequate supplies and get re-enforcements for his army,
