Staying upright is important for plants as it helps them to access sunlight air and other resources they need to survive and thrive. Without the ability to remain upright plants would not be able to take full advantage of the resources available in their environment and their growth and development may be stunted or hindered.

There are several reasons why it is important for plants to stay upright. Firstly it allows them to better access sunlight which is essential for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert the energy of sunlight into the energy they need to grow and thrive. Keeping their leaves and stems in an upright position allows plants to access as much sunlight as possible helping them to grow and remain healthy.

Secondly remaining upright helps plants to access air which is important for providing the plants with the nutrients they need to survive. Plants take in carbon dioxide and other gases through their leaves and roots using them to make sugars and other nutrients necessary for growth. If a plant cannot remain upright it will have difficulty getting the air it needs to stay healthy.

Finally staying upright also helps plants to access other resources such as water and minerals from the soil. Plants need water and minerals from the soil to grow and develop properly. The roots of a plant are responsible for absorbing these resources from the soil and an upright plant is better able to reach the resources it needs to remain healthy.

In conclusion it is essential for plants to stay upright in order to access sunlight air and other resources they need to survive and thrive. Without the ability to remain upright plants would not be able to take full advantage of the resources available in their environment and their growth and development may be stunted or hindered.

Acually, you are wrong. Not all plants stand up straight. Some bend. This is because plants have almost little sensors. They can sense in which direction the light is coming from, so they bend towards the light. in most cases, the sun or light is above them, so they grow up straight. If the light is coming from the side, the plant will bend towards the direction of the light.

First of all, the plant must have the genetic makeup that enables it to grow tall. In other words, it must have inherited the genes for tallness from the parent plants. A plant that lacks the genes for tallness will not grow tall irregardless of the conditions it is grown under. In addition to the genes for tallness, the growing conditions that the plant is exposed to will have a huge effect on the ultimate size of the plant. The plant must have an optimum amount of light exposure, nutrients and water to reach its genetic potential. If either of these limiting factors are at a minimum, the plant still will not reach its expected size. Of the three limiting factors (light, nutrients and water), water is probably the most important in the ultimate height of the plant. So, it really is a combination of inherited genes for tallness and environmental growing conditions that enable a plant to grow tall.

they stand up like that because when they grow they grow towards the sun and the main time that they are collecting chlorophyll and such it is during the day when the sun is directly over head. And so yoiu can figure the rest on your own.

You can tie for an example a popsicle stick (that is clean) with some yarn to the plant or use a piece of plywood and use some rope and jam it into the ground tie the rope to the opposite side of the tree in which the bend of the tree is occurring.

A plant will grow in the direction of the light source. Most light sources are above the plants therefor the plant will grow up.
