Radiology allows physician to see into a body without having to cut it open.

Many diseases can be diagnosed, many problems can be corrected with the help of radiology.

Examples: X-rays, fluoroscopy, MRI, CT scan even ultrasound can help image regions of the body.

Sometimes a patient is given a small amount of a radioactive chemical, and it will concentrate at a certain region of the body. For instance, radioactive Technetium can detect areas of abnormal metabolism, such as cancer.
