its to do with gearing think about having small wheels on the back they.d never push the big wheels
A "mechanical front wheel drive" tractor has front-wheel-assist which means that not only the rear drive wheels pull the tractor ahead, but the front wheels also pull the tractor.
for traction
When you turn the front wheels, they skid sideways as they turn. The skidding wears rubber off the tire.
It is huge/big because of traction purposes. Larger the wheel, larger the amount of traction it has on the ground!!
The front wheel is much bigger than the rear wheel.
The size of the rear tires on the Cub Cadet 1641 garden tractor are 23x10.5-12. The size of the front tires are 16x6.5-8. The wheel base on this tractor is 46.5 inches.
front wheel they can be change to rear wheel theu can be changed but mostly front wheel drive
70/30 % front/rear
Well, there's the old Penny-Farthing AKA high wheeler, which had a huge front wheel and a tiny rear. Then there was the so-called 60's muscle bike, built to resemble a chopper. There was also a few mountainbikes called 96ers, with a bigger front than rear wheel. The theory being that the bigger front would make them go over obstacles easier. There's also the occasional Time Trial/triathlon bicycle with a smaller front than rear in order to improve aerodynamics.
rear wheel drive
Rear wheel
The front wheel(s) are only for steering and holding the front end up. The back wheels supply the power and must have traction. Making them big lets them carry big tires which keeps the tractor from getting stuck in muddy fields and keeps them from slipping so easily. The big lugs on the tires also help in that regard.
