this is because ac appliances need regular reversal in magnitude and direction whereas dc need a regular supply.. so no output will be produced when using ac.. that's why we use dc appliances!!!!
Yes, the electric power grid could be powered by electric power generated through nuclear energy.
the power plant is a huge dynamo powered by the unrelenting force of water.
an electric powered cycle which the power is generated through brief cycling efforts.
The source that solar power generates electricity is the sun. All solar power is generated by the sun. The sun's energy is consumed by solar powered objects.

According to About.com: In 1967, Arturo Alcaraz and team powered an electric light bulb using steam-powered electricity. Power coming from a Volcano near the town of Tiwi. This was the first geothermal power generated in the Philippines.
electricity which can be generated through solar power, hydro turbines, wind generators, and also diesel powered generators
Some of the cheaper pedal powered generators are only producing energy when you are are pedaling them. The more expensive ones will save the energy to the battery.
They reduce the need for generated energy - by utilising the free, clean energy from the sun. The more we generate power by solar (and other 'green' methods) - the less we'll be reliant on fossil fuels. This will reduce the pollution generated by coal & gas-powered power stations.
Power Plants! Fossil fired / coal fired Nuclear No Hydro electrical No Wind powered Solar Panels in some houses
Solar Power is powered by the sun
20% of the worlds power is generated by nuclear power
