It is part of the curriculum because if children were not taught about sexual intercourse they would not know the effects and consiquences involved. They also need to know that what they are feeling while going throught puberty is sexual feelings for the opposite or same sex. If children did not know knowledge of sex, they would not know how everything works, some children feel more comfortable asking teachers questions then they do with their parents as well.

∙ 13y agoTo teach people how their bodies work so they can be in charge of when to reproduce or not and to learn about the different contraceptives. To make them aware of how not to get STI's and transfer them to other people. if they know what is normal healthy they know when their bodies show unhealthy signs so they know when to see the doctor.

i beleve PE (physical edd) is still part of the curriculum and im not 100% sure about this but im think it is posibly because it keep the children healthy so they donot get obese
