Why should Barack Obama help immigrants?

America by nature is country of immigrants. some of the best minds in America were immigrants. the majority of the men who invented the u.s's atomic bomb were from Germany. Immigrants should always be helped by the government, in my opinion, because who is to say that Americans deserve the help and they don't; simply because one child was born in Haiti, and another in the U.S. It's simply a matter of political standing.
