In my opinion Jason Grace should not be dead. But for the reasons he should be dead here are some:
1. It may be "his" series but in the second book 'The Son of Neptune' he sort of invades Percy Jackson's story.
2. He loses his memory so honestly, you don't learn too much about him.
Overall, these are reasons not to read the book but as I said I don't think he should be dead but yes there most definitely are reasons he should be dead, such as; he is quite annoying in some parts and you do want to kill annoying characters, but overall he is quite brave and heroic.
