Why should believers in Christ behave ethically loving one another and fulfilling the Law if salvation comes completely apart from the Law?

Christians ('followers of Christ') 'behave ethically, loving one another' because God and Christ told them to, and set the example:

Christians are not under the Mosaic Law, which ended when Christ died.
