What are the five branches of engineering?

There are five basic areas of engineering: * Aerospace Engineering. * Chemical Engineering. * Civil Engineering. * Electrical Engineering. * Mechanical Engineering. A link is provided to the Wikipedia article on engineering. You can read a little bit about each one of these specialty areas there.

What is basic difference between electronics and electrical engg.?

Electronics engineering deals with low voltage circuit design, fabrication and maintenance. The circuit can be digital or analogue or even mixed signal both analogue and digital. Electronics is closely linked to computer science through microcontroller and other digital devices such as field programmable gate arrays which require programming. Electronics engineers are also involved in signal processing both in the analogue and digital domains. On the other hand electrical engineering mainly deals with high voltage circuits as well as electricity generation, transmission and distribution also refered to as power engineering. Electrical engineers also design motors and high power systems used in industrial proccesses.

Jobs in Agricultural Engineering?

In agricultural engineering, scientists apply the concepts and technology of engineering to the production of agricultural goods and services. The science is a broad one, incorporating research from several fields of biology and chemistry with that of mechanical and chemical engineering and basic agricultural practices. Although agricultural engineers are increasingly important to the streamlining of production in large corporate farms, it is a field of study that has proven quite useful to small family farmers as well. Success in today’s agricultural world requires a great deal of study and discipline, which is why a background in agricultural engineering is useful for anybody going into this field.Types of Agricultural EngineersAdvancements in technology have led to increased specialization in agricultural engineering, which is why there are so many subfields in agricultural engineers. The two main categories in agricultural engineering are crop production and animal production. Those who specialize in crop production focus on seeding, tilling and irrigating plant crops, while agricultural engineers in the animal production industry process poultry, beef, pork and other animal products. Other agricultural engineers focus on the development of new machinery and equipment. More recently, there has been a growing focus on soil conservation and sustainable management in agricultural engineering.Education and TrainingGiven the heavy application of biology and engineering, prospective agricultural engineers should seek a college degree in agricultural engineering, food engineering or bio-resource engineering. However, a more general degree in agriculture, forestry or even biology may lead to employment in agricultural engineering. Once employed, it is important for agricultural engineers to remain informed about new technologies, as the industry is a quickly changing one. Often, a post baccalaureate degree in agricultural engineering is necessary for advancement.Salary and Job OutlookWith the growing standardization of the agricultural sector, the demand for agricultural engineers has skyrocketed. However, agricultural engineering is significantly smaller than other areas of engineering. Fortunately, many agricultural engineers are also able to find employment in environmental engineering. Salary depends greatly on location and specialty, but generally starts around $60,000 for entry-level engineers, with several opportunities for advancement and promotion.

What are the job qualification for a electrical engineer?

Engineers typically enter the occupation with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty, but some basic research positions may require a graduate degree. Engineers offering their services directly to the public must be licensed. Continuing education to keep current with rapidly changing technology is important for engineers.

What qualifications are needed in order to succeed in jobs for electrical engineers?

In order for someone to succeed in jobs for electrical engineers, one must first take courses to prepare them and help them to keep up with the current technology. One will need courses that include computer training, design classes, mathematics, basic science, and general engineering courses.

What kind of stuff can i build with an electrical engineering degree?

With an Electrical Engineering degree you can build almost anything. As a student I started off learning about basic components such as resistors, capacitors, relays, diodes, etc. Then I moved on to small projects like amplifiers, power supplies, car alarms, clocks, etc. One you have the knowledge of basic components and learn how to read & understand schematics you can build anything! *with trial and errorElectrical engineers specialize in designing, testing, maintaining, and improving a lot of the electrical equipment that we rely on each day.
